Sensitivity Training

professionalism. awareness. respect.

Under New York State Human Rights Law (NYSHRL) and the New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL), employers must maintain a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and take proactive steps to prevent and address conduct that undermines the dignity, safety, or equal treatment of employees.

Practical Skill Development

Our Sensitivity Training Program is interactive and structured to engage participants in meaningful discussions about the importance of professionalism, civility, and psychological safety in the workplace.

Participants are encouraged to ask questions, reflect on personal conduct, and engage in scenario-based discussions relevant to their work environment.

Whether required as a proactive measure, a condition of employment, or in response to a workplace incident, our training sessions offer a practical, accountability-focused learning experience designed to meet both organizational and regulatory expectations.

Topics Include:

Initial Consultation

Before each session, we work closely with participants to assess the specific circumstances that have led to the need for sensitivity training and customize the agenda to address their unique requirements.

Targeted Training

Sessions can be customized using content from any of our sample agendas. Training can be delivered virtually or in-person.

Close-Out Letter

After training is completed, coaches will provide employers with a written assessment of the participant's participation along with a Certificate of Completion for the employee's personnel file.

Each training session is individualized to address the participant’s workplace context and circumstances.

Participants will:
  • Receive clear guidance on acceptable and unacceptable workplace conduct
  • Understand how their behavior affects others and contributes to workplace culture
  • Develop skills to communicate respectfully and assertively
  • Learn practical strategies for managing difficult interactions and maintaining professional boundaries
  • Be assessed on comprehension through a final quiz or discussion-based evaluation

A confidential report summarizing participation, engagement, and comprehension will be provided to the employer following the session.
